Tracking Grow Events in GA4
Note: You will need to be running Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on your site to see these events.
It's also important to remember that event reporting in GA4 is delayed.
In your GA4 dashboard, go to Reports > Engagement > Events and Grow will show up as an event once people start using it (events can also be found in GA4 under the Realtime Overview):
Favorites

favorite - This counts how many times someone clicks the heart button on the main widget.
Recommended Content

recs_in_content_click - This counts how many times a reader clicks one of the links via the inline recommended content widget.

recs_scroll_carousel_click - This counts how many times a reader clicks one of the links via the header carousel.

recs_sidebar_click - This happens when one of the sidebar recommended items is clicked.

recs_whats_next_click - This is when someone clicks on the What's Next recommended content link.

render - This event fires when Grow loads on a page.
Search

search_result_click - This occurs when someone clicks a search result.

open_search - This happens when someone opens the search view.
