Here’s a breakdown of what a reader sees when subscribing to your newsletter via Grow!
Users Logged In with Grow
When a reader who is logged into their Grow account encounters a Grow Subscribe form, they’ll see a Subscribe button and, if enabled, a first name field. Since Grow has their email address saved, they will not need to enter it into the Subscribe form.
To subscribe, the reader will need to check the “I consent to…” disclaimer and click the Subscribe button:
After the reader has clicked Subscribe and the consent box, they’ll get a confirmation message:
Users Not Logged In with Grow
If a reader is not logged into Grow, they’ll need to provide an email address and first name (if enabled) and check the “I consent to…” disclaimer in order to Subscribe.

After the reader clicks the Subscribe button, they’ll see a Call to Action to sign up for a Grow Account. This Call to Action will display after the reader has subscribed until they are logged in with Grow:
Clicking the Subscribe button on the Subscribe form or the Continue button on the Call to Action will launch the Grow account sign up/login modal in a new window, allowing readers who choose to create Grow accounts to easily do so. Readers can close this window if they do not wish to create a Grow account and will stay subscribed to your mailing list.
The final step is to verify the email address via an email sent by Grow. Once that is done, the reader has successfully created a Grow account - and subscribed to your newsletter!
- Note: This confirmation is only for readers who choose to create a Grow account. Readers are subscribed to your mailing list as soon as they click the Subscribe button on the Subscribe form and will not need to confirm their email address.
The reader will see the following success message to confirm that they are subscribed:
