Print Pass is a feature that locks the print button in your recipe or how-to card behind a Subscribe form. This feature works with many popular recipe cards including Create, WP Recipe Maker and Tasty.
Easily convert engaged readers into subscribers with Print Pass!
When Print Pass is enabled, clicking the Print button in your recipe card will launch a form asking readers to enter their email address and consent to receiving emails and personalized ads. The screen will darken around the Print Pass form just like a Spotlight Subscribe form.
Once the reader clicks Submit and subscribes, the print page appears as usual, allowing them to print your recipe!
How do I enable Print Pass?
To enable Print Pass, navigate to Grow Settings > Recipe and How-to in Grow Publisher Portal. You’ll click the toggle switch beside Print Pass to enable Print Pass:
Print Pass + Automailer
Once you’ve enabled Print Pass, you can enable the Automailer List setting so subscribers collected through Print Pass will receive Automailer emails.
You can also add Form Actions to Print Pass to automate sending Print Pass subscribers to your third-party Email Service Provider.
Don’t forget to click Save Changes before you navigate to another tab or exit Grow Publisher Portal.
How do I know if a subscriber signs up through Print Pass?
When you download your Grow CSV, readers who subscribe to your content via Print Pass will show lockedPrintDialog as the source.

I love this feature and I have had nearly 1,000 new subscribers in just 2 weeks (I was getting about 30-40 per week previously!)
I would like to know if there is an option for the new subscriber to enter their name (or just first name) as well as their email?

At this time, there's not a way to require a name alongside the email with Print Pass, but I have passed along this feedback for you.
