automailer subscriber list
hello I am trying to set up the automailer for one of my sites. I noticed that the number of subscribers is higher than my actual subscribers, which are only 600.
I have imported the subscriber list from MailerLite. Does the automailer only send email to the list I have imported? or to the 1645?
I don't want to annoy people by sending emails if they have unsubscribed.
Also, I read that the automailer will not be able to sync unsubscribed for unpaid MailerLite accounts. So, what's a possible solution?
Thank you so much for your help.

Hi Isabella,
Do you mean you only have 600 current subscribers in MailerLite? If so, it sounds like your Automailer List could contain subscribers that have previously unsubscribed. If MailerLite keeps a CSV of unsubsribed email addresses, you could potentially remove those from your Automailer List under Automailer Settings > Advanced. There you can enter email addresses separated by commas to manually unsubscribe them.
Automailer wills end emails to the full Automailer List as long as the whole list has confirmed the subscription. When you import a CSV list, subscribers outside the United States or without country code data will be sent a double opt-in email to ensure they would like to receive Automailer emails. If you download your Automailer List CSV, you'll see the fields “doubleOptInRequired” and “doubleOptedIn.” If double opt-in is required and doubleOptedIn is “yes,” they will receive Automailer emails; if double opt-in is required and doubledOptedIn is “no,” they will not be emailed.
Under Automailer Settings advanced section, you're able to download a CSV file of email addresses who have unsusbcribed from Automailer emails. You can use this CSV to remove email addresses from MailerLite.0 -
Hello, I am a bit confused. From what you are saying you are considering emails that are unsubscribed from the automailer or from grow. But there could be readers that unsubscribed from mailerlite.
In the Grow settings it says the unsubscribed are not synced. To delete the readers that unsubscribed I would need to go through them one by one which will take me forever.
Is there a way I can only send the automailer to the email that I upload from mailerlite?
thanks for your help

Another thing I forgot. You mentioned automailer subscribers, but I am just setting it up now, so I don't have automailer subscribers yet. I have seen 21 but I am not sure where they are coming from. In fact they have unsubscribed as well and I just deleted them.
I have grow subscribers, which are +1700 now. But the real subscribers are actually 640.
Basically, what I am asking now, is how to delete all the subscribers in grow and only add the ones I have on Mailerlite.
Thanks for your help.0 -
Your Grow CSV contains all subscribers from Grow conversion tools for all time. Because you integrated MailerLite, the subscribers were also sent there. Since you were not using Automailer previously, unsubscribers were only removed from MailerLite; this where the discrepancy in the subscriber counts is from.
Under Grow Publisher Portal > Automailer > Automailer Settings, there is a section above the Appearance settings that shows your total Automailer List subscribers. That is where the 1700+ are located. If you have the Automailer List setting enabled in your Grow conversion tools (Subscribe Forms, Exclusive Content, Subscribe Action Pack, Print Pass, etc.), email addresses are added to the Automailer List even when you are not sending Automailer emails.
To remove those who have unsusbcribed from MailerLite, you will need to enter their email addresses into the Delete Subscribers box. You should be able to copy and paste emails from a CSV to do them in batches of 100 email addresses.

Hello. Ok I understand now. However, I do not have the unsubscribed list, I only have the subscribed list from MailerLite. So In order to do that I need to compare the two lists and delete the ones that are not in Mailerlite anymore. I can do that, but is there a way to double check what's in the automailer list at the end of the process, just to make sure that automailer has the correct email list?

Yes, you can download your Automailer List CSV in the Automailer Settings Page. Once you've made your adjustments and deleted subscribers, you'll scroll up to the top of Automailer Settings, choose “All Subscribers” from the Download Subscriber dropdown box, then click the download button:
This will show you the Automailer List, all the email addresses that will receive Automailer emails when you enable Global Automailer Sending.

got it, thanks. I have two more questions, please.
I subscribed to see what's happening, and I have received a message saying to confirm my subscription. Was it sent to all my subscribers when I started the automailer?
I am wondering because I noticed that the email have been sent to only 28 subscribers out of my 600+ I wonder if it's only because they didn't confirm the subscription?
Thanks a lot for clarifiying0 -
If your imported CSV file didn't include the subscribers' country codes, they were likely sent Grow's double opt-in email. They will not be added to the Automailer List or start receiving Autoamiler emails until they confirm their subscription.
Subscribers who are outside of the United States will receive the double opt-in email when subscribing to any form that is tied to Automailer. This is to ensure Automailer adheres to international privacy regulations. US-based subscribers should only see a double opt-in email when imported via a CSV file that has no country code data.
