Hi Bella!
You can use Grow URLs provided by the Copy Link button anywhere you share links as long as short links are supported. Most social media platforms should allow short links, but some have settings that can reduce their visibility (like the Facebook group setting that requires any short link to be approved by a moderator).
In general, we recommend using Grow URLs any time you're sharing links to allow Grow to identify reader email addresses that have been previously entered to Grow!
For newsletters specifically we recommend using Email Connect links to identify both email addresses that have been previously entered to Grow and those that have not. The new Links Toolkit (currently in beta and available to Grow Labs users) makes adding Email Connect links to your newlsetter quick and easy! -
How can the person that does my newsletters access the grow URLs? I have her my login and it still doesn't work no matter what browser she is in.
Another VA doesn't have the heart show up at all. Is there a way to get it to show up or figure out why it isn't?0 -
Hey Bella!
It looks like the Copy Link button is disabled in your Grow Publisher Portal settings. Heading to Grow Settings > Appearance > Share Tools will let you switch on the Copy Link button. After you do that, clicking Save Changes in the bottom right should have the Copy Link button available in the Grow widget for all users.Since you have Grow Labs enabled, the Links Toolkit will be available for any users in your Grow Publisher Portal User Permissions settings who are logged into their Grow accounts.
If you're not seeing the Save button (the heart icon) on a post, it may be because it's a newly published post that Grow hasn't created a post bookmark for yet or it maybe a no-index post. If a post is marked no-index, Grow is not able to access its metadata and create the post bookmark it shares in its features, which prevents it from being saved in Grow or generating a Grow URL.

Does it make sense to use the Grow URLs from Copy Link in internal links? For example, if I have links in Post A to Post B, C, and D, does it make sense to use Grow URLs in those links?

Hi Susan,
Grow URLs are really intended for external linking since Grow's scripts on your site should be able to detect users with active Grow sessions or who are logged into their Grow accounts.
Using short links for internal links may impact SEO.
