A Header Carousel selector is only needed if you’re running a sticky element (like a sticky header navigation menu, a pop-up, etc.) at the top of your site and you’d like to make sure your Header Carousel widget is visible from behind it.
A selector will help ‘tell’ the Header Carousel where to appear on the page.
How to Find the Header Carousel Selector
Start by going to one of your posts and inspecting your site’s sticky element using your browser’s built-in HTML inspector tool. (We’ll use Chrome’s DevTools for this example.)
Once you’re able to highlight the right element, make sure you take a look at the element’s outermost container to find the most accurate selector that will encompass all of the element in the HTML.
You should hopefully see some unique classes or ID names for the selector, such as the class .feastmobilenavbar for our example below:
Once you’re able to get a suitable, unique selector - you’re ready to add that into Recommended Content > Header Carousel > Header Carousel Selector setting and it will help essentially ‘tell’ the Header Carousel where to appear on the page.
And the carousel should then load in under that sticky element, as below:
