The Refresh Posts button will allow you to refresh your site in the Grow Portal; this will help Grow detect any updates or changes that have been made to your site.
Note: Site refreshes are only available once every 24 hours
Why is a refresh needed?
When a page is visited for the first time, and if the Mediavine/Grow script is running on that page, a "bookmark" will be created on our side of things so that we can display it as Recommended Content/Search Results in Grow's widgets.
As of now, Grow doesn't yet detect if posts have been removed/deleted, which is why you may still see them appear in Recommended Content/Grow Search.
These posts may fall out of your Recommended Content/Search results over time, but a refresh will expedite the process and help remove them from your site more quickly!
Where can I find the Refresh Posts button?
You can find this button in your Grow Portal under Grow Settings > Recommended Content > Refresh Posts:
Does the refresh happen immediately?
In most cases the refresh process is quick, but it can sometimes take a few hours (depending on how much content is on the site).
I refreshed my site, but there are still some posts that I'd like to remove. How can I do that?
There are currently two ways to exclude posts & pages from appearing in your Recommended Content/search results:
