In certain cases, the Grow Save and/or Share buttons may be hidden from view on your site.

Missing Cookie Consent
In order to save a user's favorited posts to their Grow bookmarks locally on a site or in their Grow account, a cookie must be created to save the user data. Without this cookie, Grow isn't able to identify the user and return their saved posts. That means a user must consent to the creation of cookies to utilize the save button.
The save button will be hidden from view if:
- A user declines cookies.
- There is no cookie consent banner.
- The cookie consent banner does not output the right data.
Grow is specifically looking for Interactive Advertising Bureau Transparency & Consent Framework (IABTCF) listeners, a widely-used industry standard for managing cookie consent. You should ensure your cookie consent banner is IABTCF compliant in order for the save button to populate.
Save & Share Buttons
Unlisted Posts/Pages
If a post or page cannot be indexed by search engines, meaning marked as "noindex", Grow will not scrape its metadata to create a post bookmark. All Grow features use these bookmarks and, if one does not exist, the post cannot be saved or shared via Grow. This includes the ability to generate Grow links via the Copy Link button or Links Toolkit. This is to ensure your private or unlisted pages remain accessible only to the audience you intend.
Syndicated Posts/Pages
If a post or page's canonical URL does not match your site's domain, meaning it is shared from another domain, Grow will not scrape its metadata to create a post bookmark. Grow can only create bookmarks for posts and pages that are located on your domain. This is to ensure Grow encourages readers to remain on your site, consuming additional content instead of leading them to leave your site.
