Header Carousel Is Not Displaying At All

Hi,

I have an issue where the Grow header carousel is not displaying. At first, I was trying to get it to show with the Kadence sticky header feature.

After trying lots of different selectors and debugging, nothing worked.

So I just used troubleshooting mode to switch to base twenty-twenty theme and Grow plugin activated only.

In viewing the site (albeit while logged in, so that troubleshooting mode does not affect the live site) I can see Grow features like the subscirbe form, bottom-right widget, and even recommended articles at the end of an article.

But the header carousel does not show at all, and the class selector was removed from Grow and is set to always on.

And yes, I have looked at/followed what's in https://help.grow.me/hc/en-us/articles/5632412015899-Header-Carousel-Selector but that didn't work.

So trying to do it without any sticky selector necessary, it still does not show on any articles. Albeit this is while logged in, for the troubleshooting mode to work without affecting the live site.

Is there a bug with this feature or what could I be missing?

    Hey Joe,

    Even with the Header Carousel set to Always On, you need the selector to tell Grow where to place the widget. A selector is necessary for the Header Carousel.

    Your theme's developer should be able to offer more specific advice on the correct selector!

    Support I have attempted setting a default WordPress theme and with only the Grow plugin active. The ‘selector’ inside Grow blank/not used, so it should be applying to the browser window.

    Still, other features of Grow show on a post but the header carousel does not.

    It suggests to me there is an existing issue with this, could the team please look into it?

    We also were experiencing this on Kadence. But as I've said, even a default Twenty-Twenty WP theme and only Grow active and it still won't show.

    If leaving the selector field in Grow Publisher Portal does not place the Header Carousel, Grow needs a more specific selector to target that widget on your site. You will need to define a custom Header Carousel selector in order for it to populate.
