How do I add a logo to the Grow email newsletter? Also, I've noticed that they go to Gmail's promotion folder, so subscribers may not get notified directly.

You're able to add a logo to your Automailer emails under Grow Publisher Portal > Automailer > Automailer Settings > Appearance. This article can help.
Gmail uses an algorithm to determine where to sort emails and it can be different for each Gmail user based on how they interact with the emails they receive. I see Automailer emails sorted into an Updates folder created by Gmail. Your readers may see Automailer emails in many different folders based on their email history.

Thank you for your response. I have adjusted that information and added my logo, which is shown at the top of the email.
But, how do I change the icon of the automailer profile image?

You are not able to change that icon. It is associated with Automailer itself since Automailer emails come from Automailer's domain.
