Issues With Grow Script Connectivity
AnsweredMy web developer installed the script into the head last week. The grow widget pops up when you land on the site but when I click ‘check connectivity’ in my account it tells me that there is an issue with connectivity.
The site is built on CraftCMS and hosted on Cloudflare.
Caching has been purged multiple times at both Craft & cloudflare
Rocket Loader is not enabled
The bot mode is not enabled.
There are no other plugins affecting the JS or working in a ‘minify’ manner.
I have added the ‘allow agent’ under the security settings for firewall.
My developer cannot see anything else that could be affecting it so I’m stumped.
Is there anything else that could be causing this issue? Thanks

Hey Molly,
It looks like the issue here is the non-standard installation of Grow in your Google tags:
Moving your Grow scripts outside of the Google tag, but still in the
<head>
section shoud allow Grow to detect itself. -
Hi Ben,
Thanks for your quick response! Having passed this on, they have said that the script is after the gtag script and not a part of it. As visible in the screenshot you provided. We are going to try switching off gtag to see if this has any relation. In the meantime are you able to double check the script to make sure there is no issue with it in itself…
The developer has assured me is was installed exactly as per the instructions provided and this was the script I have sent to them that I copied from my dashboard:
<script data-grow-initializer="">!(function(){window.growMe||((window.growMe=function(e){window.growMe._.push(e);}),(window.growMe._=[]));var e=document.createElement("script");(e.type="text/javascript"),(e.src="https://faves.grow.me/main.js"),(e.defer=!0),e.setAttribute("data-grow-faves-site-id","U2l0ZTplYmVjZGNiOS0wYjg4LTQ2YTMtYTVkMi0wYjdhMzhkZDdmNjQ=");var t=document.getElementsByTagName("script")[0];t.parentNode.insertBefore(e,t);})();</script>

Thanks for following up and all the additional informatinon, Molly!
It looks like Grow is successfully detecting its scripts on your sites now. I see it appearing as intended on the front end and Grow Publisher Portal is showing scripts connected even when clicking the “Check Grow Connectivity” button.
This was likely due to a small update in the scripts pushed out by the Grow Engineering Team leading to a false negative. Since the connectivity was not actually impacted, they quietly worked to resolve this on their end and then announced the fix when it was deployed!
