Benefit of using Links Toolkit to create link for newsletter

Hi
Can you please explain what are the benefits of using the Links Toolkit to create a link to a post from my website to use in an email to my subscribers? Specifically is there any additional revenue benefit doing it this way instead of just using the URL direct to my webpage?
Does it look any different? Does it still go direct to my webpage when readers click on it?

Email Connect links allow Grow to securely identify the subscriber's email address when they click the link path by adding a hashed email identifier. Grow can then check the email address against its database and see if the user has consented to interest-based advertising. This refreshes the Grow cookie for that user, allowing Grow to collect browsing history (link clicks, shares, etc.) and build and share an interest profile for that user with advertisers. Advertisers will spend more for this identified subscriber because they'll be able to more specifically target ads to interested parties.Without using an Email Connect link, Grow cannot identify the email address and match it with its database. This means the subscriber will see more generic ads, resulting in a less personalized ad experience as advertisers will not be able to target the user's interests.
