    Hey Julie!

This might relate to security or caching plugins preventing Grow from accessing the REST API and your category data. If you append /wp-json/wp/v2/categories to your URL, you should see a full list of categories, which I do for your site, but it appears something is preventing Grow from accessing this data.

You might check your WP Rocket settings and ensure Grow isn't being optimized or minified in any way (excluding Grow from JavaScript optimizations) or that there aren't any security settings preventing your REST API from being accessed.

The security settings could also be set up on your host's end, so reaching out to them may help!

    This still isn't working.

I excluded Grow from javascript optimizations, and I also reached out to my site's host. My host said Grow's requests reached my server successfully and showed this:

    3.232.100.114 - - [21/Jun/2025:11:50:38 -0400] "GET /wp-json/grow/v1/status?cacheBuster=1750521038225 HTTP/2.0" 200 56 "-" "MediavineMetadataParser/1.0.0"
    3.232.100.114 - - [21/Jun/2025:11:50:38 -0400] "GET /wp-json/mv-grow-social/v1/status HTTP/2.0" 200 54 "-" "MediavineMetadataParser/1.0.0"
    3.232.100.114 - - [21/Jun/2025:11:50:42 -0400] "GET /wp-json/mv-grow-social/v1/status HTTP/2.0" 200 54 "-" "MediavineMetadataParser/1.0.0"

    Thoughts?

Thanks for your patience, Julie! I was out of office.

After conferring with the Grow Engineering Team, they wonder if you are using a plugin to manage your categories, like a plugin that updates taxonomies? That could prevent Grow from pulling in category data.
