Custom URL filter not working

I've set up a custom URL filter to exclude recommended content from my LearnDash course, but it's still appearing.

My filter is:
.*/courses/.*

But content is still appearing on pages like:
https://1minutedog.com/courses/one-minute-dog-training/

  Excluding content in Grow Publisher Portal excludes the designated content – either individual posts or posts in a specific URL slug – from appearing in Grow features; excluding content does not remove the Recommended Content widgets from appearing on designated posts or pages.
  
  You are not currently able to disable individual Grow widgets on a page-by-page basis, but you can disable all of Grow by using the disable Grow code. You'll need to add it to the pages and posts where you do not want Grow features to appear using your HTML editor.

  Depending on your platform, you may be able to apply this to multiple page or post types if those pages and posts use the same page/post template. The disable Grow code should not be added to your main post or page template because that will prevent Grow from appearing on any and all of your pages and/or posts.
