Delaying Grow scipt until user interaction?
AnsweredHello,
Would delaying the grow script until user interaction or consent with the page cause issues? I saw it would stop the script from being detected.

Yes, delaying the Grow scripts can lead to issues with Grow features working correctly or loading on your site. You should exclude Grow from any optimizations, minification, lazy loading, etc.

Thank you! It's just that when I delay the scripts I get a 100 score on PSI mobile, without delaying them, I get 71.

Grow's scripts are fairly lightweight, deferred from the first screenview, and will wait for other elements on your site to load. While any third-party scripts will add blocking time, Grow (and Journey) script blocking time is typically related to waiting for other elements to load. Your GPSI result opportunities should help you identify the other elements that could be slowing things down: typically scripts or elements relating to your theme or image serving.
Additionally, delaying your Grow scripts can negatively impact Journey ad performance and ad revenue.
Since your site is on Journey, I'd recommend checking out this article on Journey ads and site speed. If you have further questions, the Journey Support Team is available in the Journey Community.0
