Pop Up form reopens when closed
PlannedHi,
In the past week or so, I noticed a couple of weird contact names and emails used to subscribe via the Pop Up form, including a contact or two that very obviously subscribed in anger, as some of the names were “annoying” and “stop”.
Today, while scrolling through an article, the form showed. I closed it, and it reappeared as soon as I scrolled for even the tiniest bit.
I tried closing it with the X button, clicking outside the box, or pressing the Escape button, but the result was the same.
I temporarily disabled my default Pop Up form and another targeted Pop Up for two different country categories. Otherwise, the site is unusable.
Are there any known issues with the Pop-up form? This is the first time I have experienced this on any Grow site.
I appreciate your help!
Ari

Thank you for reaching out and providing all that context. We recently had two other publishers reach out for the same issue and the Grow Engineering Team is actively investigating. As soon as we know more, I will update this thread!

The Grow Engineering Team is working on resolving this issue, but I don't have an estimated release date for the fix. I will update this thread as soon as it's resolved!

Hi!
It looks like someone from the Grow team was testing something about a week ago, as they turned on my default Popup Form, which I had previously disabled. It's been on since then, and I only got one “weird” subscriber.
Does that mean this issue is resolved?

Hey Ari!
The fix for the Pop Up Subscribe form was released late yesterday evening. The form should behave as intended going forward – just populating once per session for anyone on your site.
Thank you for surfacing the issue! We really appreciate you reaching out and your patience while we worked on a resolution.0 -
I have tested it both on mobile and desktop, and it seems to be working fine now.
Thank you!
