    Hi Nicole!

Did you recently change your caching or script optimization settings or perhaps install a new plugin to handle these issues?

I see PerfMatters scripts on your site and it's possible it is optimizing Grow's scripts, preventing things from working as intended. Checking to ensure you've excluded Grow from PerfMatters' javascript optimization settings could resolve this; this article can help guide you in doing this.

Let me know if you do this or if Grow is already excluded from PerfMatters and we'll go from there.

    Hi Ben,

We haven't made any recent changes to our catching or script optimization. And the rest of our Grow features are working properly, including the widget that displays search, account, etc. It's like saves have just been removed. The only indication the saves are still there is the widget displaying the number of saves. I've shared screenshots below.

We have grow excluded through PerfMatters already so I don't think that should be causing any issues, it also hasn't been updated since this issue started (today, maybe late yesterday).

    A couple more notes:

The save button still appears in our recipe card (WPRM) as expected.

The bookmarks tab is missing from search:

But if I go to “your account” first, then the bookmarks tab appears and shows bookmarks and counts as expected:

    Thanks for confirming that, Nicole!

Typically we see the Save button removed from posts that Grow cannot create post bookmarks for, so posts marked no-index. I see it appear on some posts but not all, which makes me think a security setting might be preventing Grow from accessing your site appropriately.

Do you have Cloudflare's BotFight Mode activated? If you do, deactivating it should help.

If it's already deactivated, clearing your site's cache and any caching plugins, then navigating to Grow Publisher Portal > Grow Settings > Recommended Content and clicking the Refresh Posts button could help. It's possible Grow bookmarks were purged during Grow's refresh cycle, preventing those pages from being Saved.

We have BotFight Mode deactivated. I have gone and refreshed the posts. We'll see if that helps.

    Hopefully that'll do the trick!

It might be worth looking into your PerfMatters settings again, too. When I look at multiple post sources for posts where the Save button does not appear, I see this:

So it does appear that PerfMatters might be delaying or otherwise optimizing Grow on your site.

Interesting, thanks for looking into that!
