Inline subscribe form stopped working
AnsweredHi,
I have an inline subscribe form set as my spotlight subscribe. It stopped working a few hours after I set it up. When I scroll the page, I see gray faded boxes appear and disappear, so I think that is what that is. I'm not sure why I can't see it.
I set .single-post .entry-content for the custom content selector in general settings.
Not sure if it matters, but I noticed the change after setting up the Save this Recipe Link Share form. Any ideas what's going on?
Thanks

Hi Summer!
You shouldn't need to set a custom content selector under General Settings. Removing that should help put your default Spotlight Subscribe form back in your post content!
They spotlight effect you saw is likely due to the Manual Placement form in your sidebar. It looks like in most posts it lines up with your table of contents which may have been the gray box.Let me know how removing the content selector goes!

Hey Ben!
I removed the content selector, and the inline form is still not showing. I also removed the manual placement on the sidebar to see if that would make a difference, but it didn't.
Any thoughts?

Hi Summer!
I'm sorry I didn't think of this before, but it looks like the issue was your Manual Placement form's Advanced Settings. On Manual Placement forms, you can toggle “Allow default form” on and off under the Advanced Settings section. When this setting is off, the default Spotlight Susbcribe form will be removed from the posts.Since your Manual Placement form is in the footer, having “Allow default form” toggled off prevented the default Spotlight Subscribe form from being placed. With “Allow default form” enabled, your Spotlight Subscribe form is now appearing as it should!
