    Hi Catherine,

It looks like there are some slight differences between the script in your screenshot and what is available in Grow Publisher Portal. You can see the differences here

It looks like potentially the script is being formatted by something, so you'll want to ensure Grow is excluded from any optimization or security settings. This article can give you an idea of the kinds of settings that could impact Grow and how to potentially exclude Grow.

Hi Ben thanks for getting back to me.

What you showed in the image you sent, happens after I click the save button, it changes automatically.  Also the article you sent me, I am afraid I don't really understand most of it.  I don't recall installing any plugins.  This is not a subject that I am knowledgeable about.  As far as I am aware I am not using any of the listed conflicts in the article.

Are you able to offer any further advice?

Just wanted to add that to be sure there were none of the things listed in the article that could affect the script, I made a completely fresh blog, installed the script and exactly the same thing happened…

I have also contacted Blogger support to see if they can shed any light on this.

    Hi Catherine,

Blogger Support should be able to help you identify if third-party scripts, like Grow's, are being optimized or minified on your site and which settings impact that. They should also be able to let you know if there are security settings that could prevent Grow's agent from accessing your site.

The Conflicts & Compatibilities article may be helpful for them in investigating this.

I contacted Blogger support and showed them the screenshot you sent me, this is what they said

    "Hello,

Does this cause any problems? It shouldn't. Blogger simply saves “ as ' in the tags, in this case in your <script>. Both characters are correct. The rest of the script looks unchanged and should work.”

I already checked everything in the “conflicts & compatibilities” article and I am not using anything in there apart from a Mailchimp popup.  I did as instructed and searched for “dojo” in my html and did not find it.

    I don't know what else to try…

I just received another reply from Blogger support and they checked another user that has the Grow script and they said it looks exactly the same as mine.

Can Blogger Support check the secuirty and optimization settings for that site and see if they are different than the settings for your site?

Even if the known conflicts listed in our Conflicts & Compatibilites article aren't at play, the most likely culprit here is an optimization of Grow's scripts or a security setting preventing Grow's agent from viewing your site. You might see if Blogger Support can whitelist Grow's agent for you as outlined at the end of that article.
